My husband is in Canada....for two whole months. Which is where I'd be if it weren't for all this dagum snow. I expedited my passport, arranged a 4 day weekend with work, and then comes the snow...here, and all over my entire route to Winnipeg. So, I figure I finally have the time. What else am I going to do? The dishes? Clean my house? Go shopping? you know I already did that, sista! Give my dog a bath? Unpack the suitcases....from Christmas! Ugh, I'll get around to it. (Don't judge me, I'm a busy lady.)
I'm gonna do my best to keep this thing up to date, or maybe I won't. Maybe this is the only post I'll ever make. We'll see. I can promise it'll probably all be totally random. That's just how my brain works. I just have a lot to say! Ben gets to come home every 2 weeks, and I'm counting down the days til this Friday when I get to see him. 2 weeks is wayy to long to go without waking up next to your best friend. Cheesy, I know. I've gone soft in my old age.
So, in the mean time...I'll fill you in on what you missed these last two years.
- Ben got a job offer
- We packed a moving truck, road tripped it for ab 18 hrs with 3 animals
- We made it to MN, pulled over on the side on the interstate to take this beauty:
totally took this on the side of the interstate
- I learned to drive in snow
- We made some awesome friends, some of which later stood beside me on my wedding day
- We went to see the source of the Mississippi River, and kayaked Itasca State Park
- The next day he proposed, I said yes!
- We planned a wedding
- We got married, and had the MOST fun night of our lives with our best friends
- We went on the most amazing honeymoon ever!
- And....
In the mix of all the wedding craziness, and lots of hours of work, and a LOT of bad luck (2011 is gonna be luckier, I just know it) we managed to do a buncha other fun stuff...like have friends come visit, watched a Twins game at the metrodome, went cliff jumping at the rock quarry, spent a weekend in the Twin Cities for my birthday/our anniversary, went to Jekyll Island, flew to GA a few times, went on an a-mazing weekend trip to Chicago, went to GA for Christmas twice, learned to ice skate, and about a million other things I forgot to mention.
All for now!
